Preem's history and management

Preem was formed in May 1996 through a merger of Texaco stations throughout Sweden and OK Petroleum stations in southern and western Sweden. Preem as a brand was quickly established in the swedish market and today Preem is Swedens's largest fuel company. 

Preem, then under the name OK Petroleum, was owned by the Swedish state, Neste OY and KF until 1994.The company was bought in 1994 by businessman Mohammed H. Al Amoudi.

In May 1996, the industrial company changed its name to Preem.The new name was established and quickly became a well-known brand. 
 
Preem employs around 3,000 people including partners and resellers. Of them, just over 1,400 are Preem’s own employees of whom 950 work at the refineries in Gothenburg and Lysekil.
