From the extraction of raw materials, to the production, distribution and use of the products, we are reducing emissions throughout our value chain.
The transition from fossil fuels to renewables is a top priority. A number of projects are currently underway that aim to expand renewable production on a large-scale and phase out fossil fuels.
SYNSAT PROJECT
Large-scale reconstruction in Lysekil that triples the renewable production capacity. To be completed in 2024.
ICR PROJECT
1.2 million cubic meters of renewable fuels for aviation, road and shipping in place by 2027.
HVO PROJECT
A brand new plant that expands Preem's renewable production by an additional approximately 1 million cubic meters – is planned to be completed before 2030.
CARBON CAPTURE
The plan is to establish full-scale plants by the end of the 2020s.

Raw materials

HVO
HVO, regardless of the raw material, is considered a renewable product as it does not have a fossil origin.
